To promote the benefit of those persons now residing in Newport and its surroundings who were born in Bangladesh or are descendants of persons born in Bangladesh without distinction of sex, or of political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in the common effort, by the advance of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

To contribute to the preservation and enhancement of self-identity through a range of educational and cultural services and activities primarily targeting the youth within the Bangladeshi community.

To work towards the elimination of racial discrimination by promoting integration through service provision.
